woman started screaming, had lots of mikes around and went on for quite awhile before the cops dragged her away. She was screaming in Chinese, so I don't know what she was saying.

As a great country we should do this for countries we deal with and the women should be able to scream what ever she wants. Maybe I am just to easy. People who come to this country know we are pretty free and easy after all it is our history.

Edited on Thu Apr-20-06 09:06 AM by insleeforprez
That's what she was saying, in English, according to MSNBC.

"Stop persecuting, stop persecuting" making reference to the Falun Gong (apologies if that's completely wrong).

Obviously, she was breaking the law by being where she was, but I applaud her efforts of peaceful protest.

but its still a pig."

Horrible things have and are happening in China. The President of China should be repugnant to all Americans. We complain about torture at Guantanamo, imagine thousands of Guantanamos. My goodness that man represents a nation wherein people are merely cogs in a machine, they have no chance to live.

and knew some fellow DUer would beat me to the punch (had to wait for computer to boot up). In accordance with gender neutrality, I just have to say, that woman had some guts. She knows she will be locked up, but had the backbone to speak up. We could use more people like her in our party, not afraid to tell it like it is.

P.S. Can't believe shrub made it through a speech without screwing it up.

On edit: changed sexual neutrality to gender neutrality.

Chinese heckler disrupts Hu's speech on south lawn at White House, 'President Bush, stop him from killing'... one cameraman put a hand on her shoulder as she shouted... seemed to be trying to quiet her down... 'Stop persecuting the Falun Gong,' she yelled'... she is taken away by uniformed secret service officers... right after Bush urged Hu to allow Chinese to 'speak freely'...

Has nobody ever taught this chimp ANYTHING about decorum, foreign cultures and formal functions? What a f-ing putz.
