Message - sure, gas prices are high, but in America, you can win the lottery/hit the jackpot/ whatever.
Who knows? You could even win American Idol! The new American dream. Katie Couric wraps up
the Today Show's piece on this by saying, "I'm so happy for her."

Who fuckin' cares, Katie?

They continue to feed the happy talk to we ignoramusi. Anything that offers false hope to the
masses that they'll be miraculously saved from the poor house is fair game.

1. At least Harry Smith threw the gas prices in Mary Matelin's face this AM.
She was prattling on about how wonderful the economy is and she replied to Harry with something along the lines of 'well, prices fluctuate.' She was flustered enough that I thought I saw her face move.
