Matalin on msnbc: Rove to be "unleashed" on Dems
Edited on Thu Apr-20-06 10:02 AM by librechik
and apparently it will be a "pretty" thing to watch.

I'm beginning to understand why Abu Ghraib happened.

It would also be a "CATASTROPHE FOR THE WHOLE COUNTRY" if the Republicans lose the House.

Mary, will it be as big a catastrophe as Katrina? Or Iraq?

Apparently Rove, though his portfolio was removed, did not get a demotion. He just is so good he can play any position on the team. Don't worry, despite rumors, there will be no changes in the BushCo field lineup on VD day (destroy the democrats day)

Isn't E Pluribus Unum great?

11. I agree with Begala ...
Rove is NOT the Alpha and Omega of Political Smear Campaigns.

If you think about what he's done, it's not genius that astounds us, it's the complete lack of conscious and moral depravity of the actions.

He's leaking junk to his butt boy, Matt Drudge. Yada yada yada ...

The patterns are glaringly simple and are wearing thin on the average American Sheeple who are more concerned <drum roll> with the price of gas and making ends meet for their families.

In the cushy 90s, such trash-talk was "fun" but leisure time is becoming few and far between.

When times are HARD, smear campaigns easily backfire, especially when instigated by incumbents. ;)

24. It won't work ... media won't influence squat when people are PISSED
with their Life Situation. Every day will be more and more disenchanting working for asinine corporate masters. As we see our family members suffer minimum wage and are unable to afford to send our children to college, the media whores will only have themselves (and each other) to love.

58. Rove will never be as good at it as Atwater was
Even Rove has never smeared my favorite baseball player by making political ads with a killer who shared the same name.

The real Willie Horton is a great guy-a former Tiger from the 68 World Series champions, who buys tickets for poor kids to attend games, is a community leader in this city, his home town, and is just an all around decent man. To have to share his name with some sociopathic killer is too much.

Iraq-nam will be hung around the AWOL/morons neck like an albatross.

And BTW,.... any time a Dem brings up anything about Iraq-nam they should ALWAYS begin by reminding everyone of the repugs failure to catch the person who gave us 9/11... Bin Laden.

Unless he was around when Gannon was visiting the White House, performing the function of "reacharound guy" I really don't think he's ever been leashed.

I really hope the Dems don't try to pull any of that "We're above this kind of politics" crap they did in 2004. I want them to hit every repuke with every piece of dirt they can dig up and then pick up the dirt and fling it at the prick again and again.

All anyone will have to do is say: "So, Karl, you ratted out an undercover agent for vengeance. How's the investigation? Still ongoing?"

There is no longer any need to lock step with the Republican administration in any verbiage. Rove's unleashing will have no more effect than a gnat.

16. Why do these lines from Vachel Lindsey come to mind (re: Rove)?
Death is an Elephant,
Torch-eyed and horrible,
Foam-flanked and terrible.
BOOM, steal the pygmies,
BOOM, kill the Arabs,
BOOM, kill the white men,
HOO, HOO, HOO.

Listen to the yell of Karl Rove's ghost
Burning in Hell for his hand-maimed host.
Hear how the demons chuckle and yell
Cutting his hands off, down in Hell.

My apologies to Mr. Lindsey.

apt indeed! BTW, the poet, accompanied by native drummers used to perform this piece around the country to crowds of rural folk. He was fabulously successful, for a poet and for the times. But a leeetle bit chauvinistic.

America needs a party with a plan to move forward while the Dems focus on revenge.

Rove will attempt to remove all legal justifications that Democrats might have for impeachment and characterize their actions as "Bush hate".

Iraq, your response to Katrina, your $9 trillion debt that is making the middle class poor. Catastrophe is your energy policy that has caused gas prices to rise nearly 300% in 3 yrs. Catastrophe is your environmental policy that has led to the selloff of our national lands and resources at bargain basement prices.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x975688

The grand jury session in federal court in Washington, DC, sources close to the case said, was the first time this year that Fitzgerald told the jurors that he would soon present them with a list of criminal charges he intends to file against Rove in hopes of having the grand jury return a multi-count indictment against Rove.

I think rove is going to be a bit busy these next months.

I think that is somthing we are missing.

Rove does not fool us, and the average DUers could smack him down- but what have the elected DEMS done to show they know how to punch Rove in his throat?

I'm worried that DEMS will fall for his tricks again.

We often mistake how we or a normal person would respond to bullies for what elected Democrats actaully end up doing.
