The youths are camped at Askar security service's offices, a private firm, for training ahead of their deployment, the reports said.
A training officer, Vincent, said they want 700 people for posts in Iraq and the United States of America. snip
Askar Security Service said last year that it would recruit 3, 000 people in intervals of three months. The youths are said to be on demand by companies that won multi-billion-dollar rebuilding contracts in the oil-rich Arab country.
The bulk of security contract workers in Iraq is made of former army and marine corps from the United States and Britain, but because of the increasing demand recruitment expanded to South Africa and Uganda.
Askar was last year sub-contracted by Bob Kasango's company, Hall and Partners, to recruit Ugandans for work in Iraq.
