Harris Poll: Bush Record-Low Approval 35% (-1 pont)
http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/stories.pl?ACCT=104&STORY=/www/story/04-19-2006/0004343387&EDATE=

Sorry if this was posted already- I heard it last night. But, I had to say this: har har har.

ROCHESTER, N.Y., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- President Bush's job approval
ratings remain low, with 35 percent of U.S. adults giving him a positive
rating and 63 percent giving him a negative rating. Attitudes toward the
state of the country have changed more substantially in the last month.
More than one-quarter (27%) of U.S. adults say things in the country are
going in the right direction, while 65 percent say things have pretty
seriously gotten off on the wrong track. In March, nearly a third (31%) of
adults thought things were going in the right direction, while 60 percent
said things in the country had gotten off on the wrong track.

These are some of the results from the latest Harris Poll of 1,008 U.S.
adults surveyed by telephone between April 7 and 10, 2006 by Harris
Interactive(R).

2. the GOP is making a major mistake. They incorrectly tie together Iraq
with his poll numbers.
While it is true that Iraq is a cause, it is not THE cause. Their spinning heads are out there claiming that if Iraq gets fixed, his numbers will pop back up. Horsefeathers.

the problem is not Iraq, per se, but rather his lies, his overall policies and the horrendous path he has led our nation down.

Unfortunately, some of the Democrats running for office fail to recognize this sense of dislike, mistrust and fear in the general population for what it really is. Add to that, they continue to have a collective lack of spine, although there are signs it is improving. Dick Durbin and a few others are notable and welcome exceptions. Even Reid did good in immigration. The House? We have a lot of work to do there.

What is worse is the librul media bias. (WHat a joke that is) Even when our people start doing good, the MSM concentrates on crap like Holloway, Mikie Jackson, Duke rapes, and other non-stories. (Yes, those specific communities may have an interest, but I defy anyone here to convince me that they are national stories, worthy of repeated coverage to the exclusion of all else.

5. yes, i'd say both lies and (in)competence are the anchor
dragging the Chimp down. I would like Dems to use the competence issue against Pukes... they have been a rubber-stamp for this President who is largely perceived as a lying fool. By association, that makes them enabling fools and not to be trusted with governance.
