I'm not going to say we don't require oil. We do. But now CNN is using Bush's talking point for one of their specials on the subject. Folks, it's your fault the oil prices are high. You're addicted. Seek help. NOW. :puke:

7. I am not addicted to oil. I wish I never had to use any product...

made from oil, but I have no choice right now. I drive a small, energy efficient car, keep the thermostat down and do whatever I can to conserve. Give me an alternative to oil products and I will be the first in line.

presidency that he got right. We ARE addicted to oil. Do you disagree with that? If the demand wasn't so high the prices would not be so high. Haven't you noticed the SUVs? How about the fact that there are NO sidewalks in most communities? We drive everywhere.

Yeah - I guess Bush really proved to CNN he's concerned about too much oil consumption and its effect on the environment and our Mideast policies.

CNN - one of their largest shareholders is House of Saud....longtime partners with House of Bush.

If this is such a danger isn't the government supposed to do something to protect us from it? They should have been promoting alternate energy decades ago. Why are they blaming us? Unless we are energy executives there is not much we can do about it besides take the bus, which also runs on oil. You are right, it's just a transparent diversion from how the oil execs want to make more profit.
