I'm with Duncan in support of the Chicks. I don't know how many C&L readers have bought the CD, but it's important to back up all our artists that have the courage to speak out when they knew there would be a backlash against them.

3. Kick. This is one _excellent_ protest song.

There've been a couple of threads in the Lounge about this song, but the political content of the song is so strong and true that I hope General Discussion regulars also will give it a listen. (I don't even _like_ country music, but this is an exceptional song and video.)

7. well, that's going to piss off Bill OReilly

He declared the new CD would not do well because of their anti-war/Bush stance. He even had a guy from Billboard on the show who said the CD had opened in the top 200 and it hadn't even been released to the public at the time that show aired several weeks ago. But BOR just said it was the usual fan base and that there would not be any new sales. He such an idiot. First his war on Easter fails and now the Dixie Chicks will hit platinum many times over with this new CD and he continues to be the loser he is.
