Mine is 6 - the average is 18.83

:)

Here is another test- this one from the website for Al Gore's new documentary about global warming.

http://www.climatecrisis.net/index.html

I use 2400 - the average is 15000.

my landlady into converting.

The other measure showed a lot worse:

8800 for my car, a 1996 Chevy mini van
5300 for my house, an apt in a two family house.
The total is therefore 14,100 which is average.

Don't know why the house usage was so high.
I assume the car is not very efficient, and it has very high mileage.

4. I got 9 on the BP test
But 13,100 on Al's test. They asked for more relevant information. I happen to be taking two transatlantic flights this summer, to Singapore and Russia, which is highly unusual for me. (As in, has never happened before, may never happen again.)

Thanks for the links!

and I am going to vote Green in the local elections in May.

by the Gore scale I'd expect to use about 5000lbs (30% of average) if I was American

it actually rates me as 2300.

Apparently it's air travel and gas guzzlers that make your rating suck.

Unfortunately, I have an old, poorly insulated house and use no green technologies at all -- hope to, soon, though. Don't travel much, though, so that makes up for it somewhat.

3,000 on Al Gore's --

15. What you can do to reduce your emissions
No, not THOSE emissions!

http://www.climatecrisis.net/takeaction.html

"There are numerous ways you can reduce your emissions through the choices and purchases you make everyday. After reducing your emissions, you may want to do even more. Purchasing carbon offsets can neutralize the effects of your carbon emissions by helping to pay for projects that reduce or remove emissions elsewhere. "

I have all energy efficient appliances and light bulbs in my apartment and drive a Prius. The problem is that I drive the Prius 30,000 miles per year because I commute 40 minutes to and from work every day.
