Goebbels was far more intelligent and his methodologies infinitely more sophisticated than the crude tactics used by these clumsy agitators. No, they have far more in common with the despicable racist hatred of Julius Streicher, editor of Der Sturmer, than they do with a master propogandist like Goebbels. Don't credit them as being more than they are.

2. I know it means I'm not as good a person as I could be...

...but I agree with Cannonfire. Especially this quote:

There's only one way to stop this pattern from asserting itself again: Fight back. We all remember Sean Connery's words of advice to Kevin Costner in The Untouchables.

Every civilization needs its Gandhis. But at the same time, every civilization needs its General Shermans. Because the only thing these proto-fascists like Malkin really understand is the threat of equal and opposite reaction to their outrageous behaviors. They'll keep doing it until our side returns fire, in the metaphorical sense.
