torturer general & kidie porn
i only caught a bit of AG gonzales on CNN earlier, but h was describing in graphic detail a father anally raping his pre-teen daughter (how he knew they were father daughter i dunno?) and other hoorrific scenes including todlers and such, telling us how this stuff is just rampant on the web and how you can barely get away from it and how he needs expanded powers to be able to compel ISPs to provide the personal details of their customers and to fine them huge amounts of money if they won't. i call bullshit. yes, child abuse happens, yes i'm sure child porn is on the web somewhere, probably lots of it. but just like the tapping of phones, he can get a warrant to search records of an ISP and i doubt there' a judge on this planet that wouldn'y give him one to shut down a kiddie porno ring with even a thimble full of evidence. this is nothing more than another end-run around the constitution and civil liberties, because who's gonna have the guts to stand-up against hunting down child porn? i'm so sick of these greedy power hungry mofos i can't hardly stand it no more.

2. Look... everybody hates child pornography
there is no there, there. This is an excuse to clamp down on everything they don't like on the internet.

3. Yes, I heard him on AAR and thought he was talking about the torture
he advocated in Abu Ghraib and elsewhere when he spoke about children and women being raped. I thought it was Lindsey Graham who did say, after he saw the videos of torture that he was horrified and that 'we are talking about rape, murder here'.

Gonzalez worked hard on those memos to make sure those women and children could be tortured. I don't know how he has the gall to mention these things because all it does is remind me of his lack of outrage over the videos L. Graham and other Senators saw and were simply stunned by. That this was done by our country.

I think Randi Rhodes' guest the other day was right. These are a bunch of very sick people ~ into sadistic torture with, he pointed out, always a homo-erotic theme. To hear Gonzalez of all people describing this today, in such detail, really gave me the creeps ~ these people are scarey.
