Scottie McLellan - Helen Thomas' bitch ???
I mean, it was probably a lot of things just building up over time - but couldn't the last straw have been Helen's questioning about Iraq that pushed him over the edge ??

2. No, I think it was the generals calling for rumsfeld's resignation.
But Rumsfeld's part of the inner circle, so it had to be somebody else.

These people still think that everything they do is right, so if the polls are down that must mean they have an image problem. Thus the press secretary has to go.

4. I think it's just wild-eyed panic
and I think it's going to get worse and worse as people desert this bunch of fuckers, saving their own asses before the whole thing goes belly-up.

Watch Fuckface. He's not gonna be looking too good in the coming weeks. I wonder if he'll be "taking his message to" his carefully-prescreened audiences while his world is crashing down around him.

Ryan's trial in Illinois is over. Fitzgerald is going to be in DC full-time now. Things will speed up, I believe.

6. Get the soap, a Family Values Republican is speaking.
Reminds me of the 2000 election, "Just before a campaign speech in Illinois, Mr Bush said to his running mate Dick Cheney: 'There's Adam Clymer, major league asshole from the New York Times '

"Mr Bush later said he did not realise that live microphones were going to pick up the remark, but he stopped short of an actual apology."

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/910614.stm

Since it was captured on tape, the GOP's Family Values candidate had to apologize. But he apologized that we heard it, not that he said it.

IMHO, this is the greatest foreshadowing in human history. Bush has done nothing but weasel out of every lie and mistake he made during his presidency. To see where the buck stops, look in the mirror. We didn't make the mistakes or even vote for it, but we're paying the price. Some leader, hey. More like a wimp.
