Check here to see if there is one near you.

And here's a couple of links for y'all who don't know what this is about:

There's still some time left before the big day. Come on people. Let's support Gov. Dean's 50 state plan!

Or it won't matter who runs in 2008 if the party isn't ready to win this tim.

4. I'm participating - Kansas "Hope in the Heartland"
Thanks for the reminder.

I posted about Democratic Victory: 2006's Hope in the Heartland a while back on the Kansas forum http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=153x4554 and provided a link for people to sign up.

I got my latest newsletter (not the full-blown quarterly newspaper we started getting :woohoo:) from the state party lists about ten cities where people have signed up to participate. Thank you Chairman Dean!

5. Now that's what I wanna hear!
I don't see too much in Wisconsin, but I know we have a field coordinator courtesy of Gov. Dean. I just don't know what her name is yet. I wish there was some sort of list.

8. Much obliged! We have four.. Coolness
Andrea Nair sounds familiar. She must be the one I've been hearing about. I meet with local Dem Party folks about once a month.

11. There's a lot of work to be done. We need all kinds of
skill sets. We need people to do phone banking, event planning, data entry, fund raising, letter writing, page layout, postering, and even going to the headquarters to vacuum the floors, empty the trash, and fill the paper towel dispenser. Anything you can do will help.

13. That's how I got started in the Kerry campaign
I bought stuff for the HQ. Every paycheck I'd go to the store and come back with soda, water, cleaning supplies, snacks, poster board, markers, anything I could think of. Sometimes I'd call them and get a wish list. From there I ended up doing data entry and then phone calls. Never did canvass, but they appreciated those who didn't mind using the phone.

I've only phonebanked once since then, and the guy lost, but he lost by less of a margin in a quite Red area. Every little bit.

I'm just trying to get people out of the 2008 frame of mind in into a 2006 frame of mind. That was one of my reasons for starting this thread. Too many 2008 threads and not enough 2006 threads.

But this one keeps sinking like a stone.

14. I'd rather canvass than phone bank, but I will go wherever
I am needed. They want me to be the point man for a state legislature race, but I'd rather be working out of headquarters coordinating canvassing. That's my thing.
