I don't know if DUers wrote about him. Just read about him in TIME magazine "milestones."
A NYC police detective who spent 470 hours at the site of the Twin Towers, going through the dust in search of victims' remains.
He died last January of respiratory failure. His autopsy revealed "innumerable foreign body granules" in his lungs and this his death was "directly related" to his post 9/11 efforts.
He was 34.
R.I.P James.

2. I've read stories about several young people who have |
|
died since 9/11. Thanks for highlighting Mr. Zadroga's name. Just imagine how many more there might be out there. We have a dual tragedy going on. :(
