If you don't vote for whoever the Dem is in the general, you might as well be voting Repub.

12. WHICH GORE??? GORE 2000 OR GORE 2004?? Gore not running for office
is much more in line with me than Gore running for office -- but that is the nature of
the U.S. electoral process.

14. I think one of the big advantages of Gore
is that he hasn't been in office during the * administration so he has no record of siding with *.

16. Good point! I think some of those who enthusiastically support Gore
don't know much about the Gore of the Clinton years and 2000. VP Gore has me confused actually. I wonder which is the real Gore or is the real Gore somewhere in the middle.

Kerry's OK as the Senator from Massachusetts. I say: keep him in Massachusetts.

Lately, Gore has been looking pretty fearless and that's what we need. Someone who speaks their mind and doesn't back down.

19. Please, you can't compare the 2000 election to the 2004, the differences
were like day and night. Both elections were different. IMO, Gore had every advantage in that election and he blew it. Fight or no fight makes no difference to me. That doesn't determine who would be the better President.

35. That's so ironical
For the last 5 years I've listened to nothing but how boring Gore was, how he was weak after the election, how he fought it all wrong, how he caved too soon, how he didn't stand up with the CBC, how he disappeared when we needed him.

NOW people want to pretend they never said that??

21. These polls are so stupid at this point
All they do is encourage people to answer something like:

- X (good reasons)
- Y (trashing a man they probably voted for and seriously wanted to be President)

29. I voted for both, but thought Gore sounded wooden. Those
were more innocent days when we never knew an election could be stolen. Heh.
Having said that, I adore Kerry and loved him during the debates of '04, Gore-not
so much in '00 despite the fact he was robbed by the SC.
Gore's latest greatest speech on CSPAN was full of fire, and made me
feel great!
I'm waiting to see, but neither Gore nor Kerry are willing to be VP.

Not my first choice, but I couldn't stand another Kerry run. Completely uninspiring.

Hope we continue to hear more from Gore....eventhough, unfortunately, I think he would have a tough time winning the general election.

49. You might find this interesting regarding the IWR...
Edited on Fri Apr-21-06 03:24 PM by Clarkie1
Ted Kennedy acknowledged on Larry King last night that Clark was one of the key figures who convinced him to vote against the IWR. My question is, why did Kerry listen to neither Kennedy or Clark? He didn't because it was not the politically expedient thing to do at that time for one who was eying a run for the White House in 04'. I was disappointed in Kerry's vote on the IWR before, and it made him a less attractive candidate to me. Now, his vote on it bothers me even more.

Thread on Clark, Kennedy, and the IWR here:
