So i'm driving slower and consolidating errands and not spending much on anything else except the essentials.

2. How does it feel to be stepped on by the elites in this country?
It doesn't feel too damn good, does it? In this country, it seems the poorest and those in most need of help have always been abandoned when times were at their worst.

7. The last time gas prices were up over $3.00 a gallon,
the freepers went around saying, "Adjusted for inflation, you are spending less per gallon then when Carter was President," or "In Europe they are paying a lot more." or some such nonsense. I haven't heard them say that lately. I wonder if they still like supporting the pResident with their gas dollars?

8. Yeah, and my 91 year old father-in-law
is blaming it on those damn eco-liberals - behind our backs, of course - and to our faces it's "use my car to take the kids to school" and "sure, I'll loan you some money so you can buy that scooter that will help you save money with your business and is so much better for the environment".
Uh huh - he knows what side his bread is buttered on - we completely uprooted our lives to come live with him and take care of him and his house and yard so that he wouldn't have to go to a *home* and so he's free to play golf every day.

Typical Repug hypocrite!

Now that's out my system, I do have to say it's very nice of him to offer to help out with the gas thing as our business requires alot of running around :)

Sorry, thats not gonna fly with a Republican Congress and President. Some people cant stand to face the truth that is smacking them right in the face.

...it's on an SUV? And usually it's a guy driving it in the city, single-passenger, and wearing a suit?

I think in a lot of cases THIS sticker would be more appropriate:

I am sure this thread will kick itself.

42.00 to fill up my HONDA! Time to get a used del sol.

Now is the time to be sure that our tires are inflated properly. That extra 2-3 MPG is really adding up.
