Why the DSCC - Penderson immigration ad sucks

He says: "My plan is not amnesty" so now of course the viewer is thinking about amnesty! And they might disagree with him on that point.

Lakoff (author "Don't Think Of An Elephant") says not to bring up your opponents frames even to discredit them.

Doesn't anyone at the DSCC know this?

This line should be cut from the ad. Just a stupid mistake to make if you ask me.

He's backing the McCain Kennedy plan...which is to the "left" of the Sennsenbrenner plan... far-right critics call this compromise plan "amnesty".... and he's saying : "it's not amnesty".... but you shouldn't say that. You just say : "This is the right thing to do" or go back to saying that his opponents plan is "fantasy"
