Excellent jab at W in "Scary Movie 4"... pics...
Edited on Fri Apr-21-06 07:26 PM by ReverendDeuce
***NO SPOILERS***

(like it matters with this movie anyway...)

Sometimes these movies are just damn funny! This one had a great jab at W in the first half. Leslie Nielsen plays the part of "President Harris". After the "War of the World" inspired tr-iPods attack, they cut away to a school classroom where a small girl is reading a book, presumably titled "My Pet Duck", while the President sits off frame to the left and is revealed as the camera pulls back. While the little girl reads, the Leslie Nielsen is informed by a staffer who leans over his right shoulder...

Staffer: Mr. President, we've just received word that the planet is under attack by aliens.

President: Uh huh.. ohh... okay. (in a manner only Nielsen can pull off, transcript does no justice)

(pauses, turns back to watch little girl reading)

Staffer: Sir, they've already wiped out some of our cities. If nothing is done, they'll kill us all.

President (somewhat irritated): I see. Well, I'll handle that in a minute. But right now I need to find out what's happening with the duck.

Staffer: Sir! With each passing moment more people will die!

President: The people are gonna die regardless. But... this duck still has a fighting chance!

Staffer (incredulous): I've read the story before, Mr. President. (Leslie Nielsen lifts a small half-pint of milk and takes a big sip) The duck dies!

(President spits the milk out all over the children)

President: My God! That's horrible!

Staffer: Mr. President. The aliens? We're under attack!

President: You mean right now, all of these childrens' parents could be dead!?

(all the kids spit their milk out in terror and scream and start running out of the classroom)

President: Now let's go on to another story: Rumple-Foreskin.

(kids keep screaming)

Staffer: "Stiltskin" sir. We have to get you to the Whitehouse.

President: I just don't get kids... Remind me to sign that abortion bill.

5. Oh, there's more W stuff in there...
Such as when Leslie visits the United Nations. After he makes several extremely insulting but completely butchered racially charged jokes, he sees the sign behind him that reads "U.N." as he addresses the assembled body: "I'm here today at the uh... (pronouncing the "un") 'un'... because the earth has been attacked."

There's many more great things in there. Funny stuff!

13. The trailer is different from what is in the movie...
Comparing the two right now, it looks like what is in the trailer is earlier footage.

Notice how Nielsen is holding orange juice, just like the children, in the trailer. In the movie, it's clearly a milk container -- as is what he's spitting out. :)

Also, the dialogue in the trailer is really delivered poorly. The movie version is much more dramatic.

Lots of missing dialogue and body language in the trailer as well.

The added stuff was probably a reshoot of some sort, to make it funnier. The trailer is clearly based on earlier footage. The special effects in the trailer are also of much, much poorer quality than the final film.

Just an FYI.

15. Thanks! I am laughing out loud just thinking
about seeing it ~ based on the opening post and the trailer - delighted to hear that the movie is even better than the trailer, too.

The tide against dumbass is definitely turning. A few years ago few would have dared to openly lampoon him like this.
