Hey Freeps, I'm calling you on your filthy racism. That you morally bankrupt, and utterly repulsive creeps have no idea what bigots you are is no excuse. Bigots never think they're bigoted. Your site is littered with outrageous racist comments, and hate speech of every possible description. You're obsessed with gays and lesbians, and your language speaks to your own sick, corrupt souls, not to them. Your attitude toward Muslims can be summed up in one word: Murderous. ... the death toll would likely have been higher, not lower. There's no way that a hundred thousand people could have gotten clear of the danger zone on foot in such a short time. The storm would have caught them away from all shelter.

And you know what? If that had happened, the people at Free Republic would be hooting at the "stupid n-ggers" who were 'too dumb to realize that they'd have been safer if they'd just stayed put'.

Kind of like how in the aftermath of the levee breaks, you had a bunch of self-righteous know-it-alls demanding to know why all those able-bodied people were just sitting around, waiting to be rescued. Well, when thousands of New Orleaners tried to walk out of the city via the bridge to Gretna, the cops forced them back into the disaster zone at gunpoint. Did the self-righteous know-it-alls object to this violence against those who were trying to do the very thing that the "self-reliance" faction wanted them to do? Not that I heard, anyway.

Face it. Nothing that blacks do will ever be right in these people's eyes.


Tried to evacuate yourself? Wrong -- should have stayed where you were!

Tried to shelter in place? Wrong -- should have outrun the hurricane on foot!

Waited for rescue? Wrong -- should have walked out of the city after the storm had passed!

Tried to walk out of the city after the storm had passed? Wrong -- should waited for the authorities to put together an orderly evacuation via buses!


The same people who lecture the poor to live within their means are also the first to blame them for the immobility that follows from foregoing expenses like a private automobile. That shitty-all-around two-facedness is absolutely typical of these people, by the way; they may pride themselves on their "resourcefulness" and "self-reliance", but these sheltered pissants and compulsive bitchers are more likely the very last men you'd want in a crisis.
