RICE LEAKED DEFENSE INFO TO AIPAC LOBBYIST!
Edited on Fri Apr-21-06 08:39 PM by kpete
Lawyer: Rice leaked defense info to AIPAC lobbyist

Lawyer: Rice Allegedly Leaked Defense Info

By MATTHEW BARAKAT
The Associated Press
Friday, April 21, 2006; 7:58 PM

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice leaked national defense information to a pro-Israel lobbyist in the same manner that landed a lower-level Pentagon official a 12-year prison sentence, the lobbyist's lawyer said Friday.

Prosecutors disputed the claim.

The allegations against Rice came as a federal judge granted a defense request to issue subpoenas sought by the defense for Rice and three other government officials in the trial of Steven Rosen and Keith Weissman. The two are former lobbyists with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee who are charged with receiving and disclosing national defense information.

Defense lawyers are asking a judge to dismiss the charges because, among other things, they believe it seeks to criminalize the type of backchannel exchanges between government officials, lobbyists and the press that are part and parcel of how Washington works.

During Friday's hearing, U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III said he is considering dismissing the government's entire case because the law used to prosecute Rosen and Weissman may be unconstitutionally vague and broad and infringe on freedom of speech.

Rosen's lawyer, Abbe Lowell, said the testimony of Rice and others is needed to show that some of the top officials in U.S. government approved of disclosing sensitive information to the defendants and that the leaks may have been authorized.

46. Run her for President! Here's the Ticket: Condi-JoeMo in 2008!
Actually, I think this just about sinks any aspirations she might have along these lines. That NFL Commissioner job may still be open, though.

Further, if this is true, this nails it. Along with Libby, she's a hub of the Plamegate-OSP-AIPAC spy network that links Bush and Cheney directly to both scandals. There can be little doubt now that Bush was in on both crimes, and that the Israelis are now leaking with what they know about it. Which is practically everything, as the Sharonista spooks are also in on the conspiracy to push America into Iraq and Iran.

Now, that the Generals have openly turned on BushCo, expect a lot more details to come gushing out about Bush-Cheney and Sharon's plot. Expect a major purge in both governments as the mainline establishment tries to take back control from the Rogue Spooks. Hold on tight, kiddies, they don't call this thrill-ride the UltraMax-G-Force for nothing!!

62. I think a better combo would be Rice and Rum(my)
I hope that she doesn't really have any further political asperations. I keep working to make sure that as many people in this misadminstration are exposed and held accountable for what they've done.

We all know that Condi was a part of WHIG. She was part of the conspiracy that took us into war in Iraq. She is also responsible for all that WHIG spawned, including but not limited to, outing Plame, squashing intelligence, torture, rendition, misuse of our military, violation of international trust, using fear propaganda to keep the American people in the dark, disenfranchisment of the voters, the subversion of the Constitution are just a tip of the iceberg of their crimes that we know about.

Talk about links. Charlotte couldn't have woven a more complex and interconnecive web of deceit and scandal. Although Abramoff/DeLay were pretty good weavers in their own right, they weren't high enough in the government or in control enough to hide their dealings from meaningful scrutiny by invoking "we are at war" and the timely release of terrorist messages and threats. The bastards in charge hold too many cards and they've been able to manipulate the people and the press too many times but it finally looks like their little house of cards is starting to collapse on itself.

To say it is getting interesting is an understatement. Recently it looks like we're on the verge of a military coup in the sense that the military is openly contradicting what the administration has been telling people. The military is flexing its muscle because they know they've been played too. They also know this administration has shown very little compassion, if any, for our troops. The generals value the lives of our troops and they are tired of having them used as pawns. This UltraMax-G-Force ride has just begun. For better or worse at least we have front row seats. :banghead:

Depose (as in taking a deposition and requiring truthful testimony under oath) will inevitably result in the other meaning of 'depose', governmentally. Firing her, in other words.
