They seem to get away with saying things that ought to get them fired or ignored forever but only makes them more and more popular with threatened white men and therefore more successful. These people succeed in mainstreaming bigotry.

You know, the folksy sounding guy on the radio. He may seem innocuous, but he tells some of the most racist, bigoted anectodes you will hear in the mainstream media. He's widely heard, especially among older people, and just flies under the radar since he's not on TV nor trying to get publicity.

is pretty bad. Arguably he's the worst one, but he's viewed as more of an idiot anyways. Few take him seriously.

But Limbaugh and Savage are pretty bad and they have a significant number of followers as well.
