to give the commencement speech at the graduation at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. I sure am hoping there will be a good turnout to protest his highness's presence, not sure I can go to stand with the protester though but something tells me there will be a good turnout. His numbers have been eroding around here. Haven't seen a w bumper sticker on an Oklahoma tagged auto here in NE Ok in some time now.

2. Oh, the fundies here still love him but I see the tide turning
I will have to make a round of the church parking lots tomorrow to have a look see. 6 months or so ago I was still seeing a lot of w* stickers.

3. I'd be interested to know what you find
I'd go have a look see myself but, frankly, I can't stomach the idea. That said, I consider arguing political theology with the fundies a form of sport. I have noticed that the diehard fundies have become *very* defensive and are dismissing almost all political discussion and criticism of * as being the result of personal bias. Six months ago they were still discussing issues.

I hope you are right. I know LaFortune is a member of one of the large fundie mega-churches. One of his opponents in the primary was an ORU grad who secured the endorsement of Richard Roberts. That suggests to me that there is trouble amongst the fundies.

With gas prices going up and still more good jobs leaving Tulsa and with Lafortune's defeat I am hopeful that some of the folks here are beginning to wake up and smell the proverbial coffee.
