Freeper heads exploding over Gates visit to Viet Nam.
Hanoi Gates joins the rich elite company of sKerry, and Jane.

The truth is that we won the war in Vietnam.

Bill Gates should say something to honor the 50,000+ American troops who were killed over there by those communist freaks.

The Vietnamese reaction to Gates' visit shows the triumph of capitalism over communism.

This is truly sad and ,man, does it make my blood boil. This is the ugly side of capitalism, where only the dollar matters, not how it's attained. Trade with murdering slave states that are using our hard cash to modernize their armies for a confrontation with us and arm islamists to kill our troops? No Problem!

7. Yep, notice there's not a peep from them
when Bush sells our country out to China, a country with a far worse human rights record than Vietnam and also killed thousands of our troops in Korea.

8. stuck on stupid, aren't they....

Hey, geniuses, if you don't like the results- don't vote for the policies!

And you boys and gals know von Clausewitz- 'war is politics by other means', dears. Military dominance doesn't mean prevailing politically, it just means killing people. Oh, wait, that's right- winning in Iraq by sheer willpower and firepower and denial of political defeat still strikes you as obvious. Reality laughs at your feeble idiocy and tallies the corpses for you to account for on Judgment Day.

10. Shit, who HASN'T been back to Vietnam nowadays??
McCain went back, Tweety was there recently....

And supposedly, the MONKEY is gonna go this year, too!!!! Probably be the only place he can appear in public and not be boooed!!!!!!

WASHINGTON — President Bush said Tuesday that he accepted an invitation by the Vietnamese prime minister to to visit in 2006.

The trip would be the second by a U.S. president since the communist-led North Vietnam defeated the U.S.-backed South Vietnam three decades ago.

President Bill Clinton went to Hanoi, the Vietnamese capital, for a three-day visit in 2000. His was the first visit since 1969, when President Richard Nixon spent six hours rallying U.S. troops in the country....

Now that will make some heads explode!!!

But the upside is, Monkey will NOW be able to say HE WENT TO NAM!!!!!!

12. Vietnam, Cuba, Venezuela...
why are they obsessed with countries that pose us no threat? They are stuck in a cold war mentality in a post 9/11 world. Instead of bemoaning non-threatening socialist countries (and undocumented workers for that matter), why don't they pressure The Decider to protect our ports and borders? I am much more concerned with dirty bombs detonating in LA, NYC, or Miami than someone who want to pick our fruit, or clean up after our sloppy asses at the Hilton.

14. Well, when Monkey goes to Nam, maybe he'll wear his flight suit!!!
He can pose for some pics near the Mekong, drape his arm around a bargirl, and get the "Apocalypse Now" experience without all those pesky bullets flying!

I can't wait to see how the rightwingers process this--it's gonna be quite the visit,apparently...

Now, the two sides are actively preparing for the visit of U.S. President George Bush to Vietnam on the occasion of the Asia- Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit slated for November in Hanoi capital, he stated, noting that Vietnamese Prime Minister made a historic visit to the United States in 2005.

Since their relations normalization in 1995, Vietnam-US trade surged considerably, the minister said, noting that the United States is now Vietnam's biggest export market.

The two countries will continue negotiating about issues caused by differences in their political regimes, customs and culture, he said. ...

He'd best watch out for that BIRD flu, though--it's big in those parts! As a chickenhawk, he'll have to be doubly careful!!!

the profit motive is fundamentally amoral. Welcome to real world, loser.

By the way, we didn't win the Nam War. You might want to check out the pics of the evacuation of Saigon. You're drowning in Denial.

16. This is the first freeper thread page....
So sorry for the little off topic, but does anyone know if the freepers went further underground and are hiding better?

It used to be the "freep" this poll, that poll and the other poll could be found on their main pages. Are their "activist" orders now on a hidden page requiring membership? If they plan on infiltrating a site, or email bombing a site or reporter or what have you, where are those organizational maneuvers planned and executed? They must have a membership only page to keep it more covert.

They are on the run. I'd like to infiltrate their "war room" to see what is going on. They are very paranoid and very selective, but someone must have gotten in.

Anyone know how they do it?
