3. rain and wind in NJ
I'd be out there if it were otherwise!

Have a great time, Acebass!

In the meantime, think of your friends in lesser climes. Drinking white wine, dining on delicious rice balls, reading DU, and drowsily heading toward nap time on a Saturday afternoon.

The day was gorgious with a bullet! low 70s, river was calm. Big Air Show, Lots of patriotism, got so sick of hearing "God Bless the USA" fireworks were awesome as usual...over 800,000 were on the river front

Great day to be alive, but then my thoughts strayed to...

Kentucky Army National Guard soldier dies in Afghanistan
The Courier-Journal

A Kentucky Army National Guard officer was killed this week in Afghanistan, Guard officials said Saturday.

Capt. Clayton Lee Adamkavicius, 42, was hit Thursday by small arms fire near Dihrawud district in Uruzghan province.

Adamkavicius, a California native, has been a Kentucky Guard member since 1986 and was on his third deployment. He was assigned to Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 149th Infantry based in Barbourville, the Guard said.

7. Refreshing, cool, morning shower and afternoon sun,...
,...the air smelled so clean and spring fresh. IT IS SPRING!!! Oh, how I love the color of spring to wake me up from the grey of winter.

It was a productive (house-cleaning), fun (joking with my son) and fulfilling (posting on DU) day. Although, I confess, I woke up anxiety-ridden. x( This day has been a good day. And, it's about time for me to rest.

Light & Peace to All!
