even he was shocked to hear what the national debt per person had grown to. He's been too busy to keep up with details of the news, like the diplomatic snafu over PRoC vs RoC announcement and anthem.

He also sees how Iraq is a mess and believes we will eventually have to treat Iran like other M.E. nuclear powers like Pakistan and India; IOW, make nice with them. He's in the uranium business, and is one of the smartest people I know, technology-wise. He thinks Iran will have nuclear weapons capability in a little over two years.

We also discussed the outrageous cost of college, how it affects us all having an undereducated population, and he's fried over the cost of gas. He said, "Well, after 2008 we'll have another president who'll have to clean up the messes this administration is leaving behind."
