The X-tian Taliban will see "FLT-93" as "The Passion of the Titanic of the Sky" Sobbing. Theaters all over the country will report unprecedented uncontrollable wailing as the plane pitches and rolls toward it's inevitable end. New airplane shaped car decals will take the place of the Jesus fish, and Falwell,Robertson, and the other Fundie talking heads will lovingly damn all us heathens as they decode (FLT 93) to predict the Rapture. 3. Why abandon this to the right-wing?

We're just as much patriotic Americans as they are. Why not use this to make a point that if we all had been honestly been made aware of the nature of the threat, NONE of the planes would have crashed.

Just about two or three weeks before 9/11, passengers on a plane landing in Salt Lake City subdued another passenger who apparently had a psychotic outbreak. It was an unhappy ending because he was a sick man who had been under treatment and they ended up killing him by accident when they piled on to stop him from whatever he was doing.

My point is, the crew and passengers on the other three planes thought they were dealing with a standard hi-jacking and were following established protocols. If they had had any idea of the threat, they would have stopped the terrorists, too.

The Clinton people tried to pass on the warnings of trouble brewing during the transition and were laughed at and ignored for their efforts. A random group of Americans knew what to do when they recognized the threat. Why has no one in the Bush administration actually been made to pay for being asleep at the switch?

that horrible day to make any point on any side. It's not in our (my) nature to use people's emotions, fears, ignorance, class, color, or any other set of circumstances for any reason at any time. That, I believe is a Repuke strategy.

I agree with the substance of your post, though. We are patriotic, much more so IMO, because we love our country enough to stand up when our policy's are in direct contradiction to our constitution, and our "leaders" have turned a grand Republic into a Fascist theocracy.
