can answer a question for me.
Back before I finally filed for disability, I collected unemployment. I got benefits up to the "first" extension, but at that time, no second extension had been approved. It was 6 months later that I filed for disability after my doctors found I qualified for it.
I spent quite a while with no income at all--my mom helped out with a couple of hundred dollars a month, but it was a bitch trying to make ends meet on $300 a month. Anyhow, I noticed a second extension finally went through in the past week or so, so I just want to know: am I still entitled to that extension, even though it's been a few years since my "time" on unemployment?
At this point in time, I want to make sure I get what I am due, because this administration has certainly tried everything to fuck us over. So while normally I would not pursue this issue further, if there is a chance to benefit for all those months I spent without income of any sort unemployed, I will go after it. And this period of time does NOT interfere with the back benefits I got for disability. The only difference is I have moved from California back to Massachusetts in the interim.
How far will a couple of phone calls take me? Just curious at this point.
