A worker at a Seattle cement plant was rescued Friday after being buried up to his waist in powdered cement for an hour and a half.
The man, 29, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and was taken to Harborview Medical Center. A nursing supervisor Friday night said the man was in serious condition.

The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment after being rescued.
The man had been trying to remove a large amount of cement with a backhoe from a storage unit at Ash Grove Cement Co. in the 3800 block of East Marginal Way South when a "wall of cement" fell on him, trapping him in the vehicle's cab, said Seattle Fire Department spokeswoman Dana Vander Houwen.
The dry cement poured out of the entrances of the storage dome and into a nearby parking lot, where several other vehicles remained partially buried. Rescue crews working in the driving rain had to shore up the area.
