http://unionreview.com/workforce-fairness-institue-...-yea-rightI clicked on one of the Google-fed advertisements that come to this site. This one, that caught my eye, is called "Workforce Fairness Institute." I heard of them before but hadn't had the time to go check out their site. I nearly spat my coffee out from laughing once I got there. The whole site is dedicated to fighting the Employee Free Choice Act. The site is set up with advocacy campaign, like the ones many unions and activists use (fill out the form and contact your congressional representative). The only issue is that "Workforce Fairness" wants you to go AGAINST the Employee Free Choice Act because they don't think it is "fair" to you as a worker. How does that make sense, I don't know, but I urge you to use their site and tell your congressional rep that, as a matter of fact, NOW is the time for the Emploee Free Choice Act!
The WFI about page states:
The Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI) is an organization committed to educating voters, employers, employees and citizens about issues affecting the workplace.
WFI is funded by and advocates on behalf of business owners who enjoy good working relationships with their employees, and would like to maintain those good relationships without the unfair interference of government bureaucrats, union organizers and special interests. These business owners recognize that if you treat your employees with fairness, respect and dignity, you will have a stable workforce and a profitable company. WFI does not represent any one business or industry.
I wholeheartedly believe in the idea that we must know who our enemies are and what they are up to ... we need to know how to fight good fights and be armed with the knowledge of how they are doing what they do.
