Employee Free Choice Act Poll needs some DU Love
Got this email today and thought it could get a little help from the DU community.
Thanks!

Everyone:
We need your help to send a message.
As you may well know, there is a phony effort underway in Missouri by an anti-labor, anti-worker former legislator, John Loudon, who has started a committee -- deceptively called "Save our Secret Ballot" -- designed to prevent the Employee Free Choice Act from being implemented in Missouri IF it passes the Congress. The Act is designed to give workers the right to decide for themselves if they want card check or a secret ballot election to determine union representation.
Loudon is running a poll on his web site, http://www.sosballot.org trying to build numbers that he can later tout that Missourians favor this anti-worker effort. So far, thanks to the efforts of many, he is LOSING on his own poll....but we need to make it dramatic.
Please take a minute, go to the web site and consider a "no" vote in his poll, which is at the lower right of the page.
The Employee Free Choice Act will NOT destroy the secret ballot. It WILL give workers a chance to join unions without the employer intimidation that always follows an organizing campaign, including illegal firing of union supporters with little fear of legal action.
Loudon's effort would prevent the federal Free Choice Act from being implemented in Missouri. We can't let that happen for the sake of ALL working families in Missouri! Please vote.
Thanks for taking the time.

1. Done. The poll is misleadingly worded to favor his position
and he's still losing heavily. :patriot:

3. I read the frickin' bill... these people are liars.
They claim that the bill will strip union members of their anonymity... that's bullshit.

The only thing that is not done by secret ballot is the original petition to form the Union, after that, it's all standard.

6. Yes, they are liars
and judging by the pole, pretty bad ones at that.
