President Obama has tapped a Montclair resident who formerly served as a counselor in the Clinton administration to be deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor, according to a report on Politickernj.com.
Seth Harris was an official on the Obama transition team for labor, education and transportation, according to the report. Currently a professor at New York Law School, he will serve under U.S. Department of Labor Secretary Hilda Solis.
Harris served under President Clinton as counselor to the secretary of labor and acting assistant secretary of labor for policy.
