Results of my contract vote from today by Omaha Steve

We approved the proposed contract. The vote was 218 to approve. 30 to reject. 1 voided ballot.

From my post Wednesday:

I've been weighing should I post this or not. With so many DUers not working or working reduced hours, I'm not sure this is appropriate. I decided to post. We were offered a 3 year contract. 2.75% increase each year. Small increase totaling 3% more to the pension over 3 years. Health wellness was added. Our cost of health care will go from 5 % in 2008 to 6% in 2009 and 2010. 7% in 2011. No give backs. We held the line. We vote Friday. More on this Saturday. I hope everyone on the DU can do this well over the next few years.

I've had a busy 10 days. I'll be back to my regular active posting rate tomorrow. Mom goes home from my sister's house tomorrow. She has been in the hospital 3 times in 3 weeks. Barb kept her the last 2 days to keep an eye on her. She is 84 and lives alone.

3. better than my wifes crap contract they "passed"

to many non paying dues grandfathered in union workers voting for the same contact with less than 2% raise each year.
