City workers in Florence, South Carolina are going to be paying more out of pocket if they choose to smoke. Starting January 1, 2010 employees who use tobacco products will be charged $23.08 per payroll period – that amounts to roughly $600 over the year. Workers have to fill out a form that says whether or not they use such products.
