Organized labor has been coming forward with both financial and physical support for the earthquake ravaged nation of Haiti. Jesse Russell reports:

The United Auto Workers are leading the charge to support the island nation of Haiti in its most dire time of need. The UAW pledged $500,000 on Wednesday to the William J. Clinton Foundation which will go toward earthquake relief. The Los Angeles Federation of Labor pledged $10,000 which would go toward the transportation costs of 7,000 registered nurses. National Nurses United continues to seek nurses that can volunteer to go to Haiti and assist, but they are looking for more assistance to help deploy those that have already signed up:

: "We can’t get there without donations to cover the cost of medical supplies, travel, food, drinking water and shelter."

That was National Nurses United President Deborah Burger from a message she left on the website sendanurse.org.
