Economic Report: Joblessness Causing Wage Erosion For Workers Who Still Have Jobs

http://www.laborradio.org/node/14101

Economic Report:

As President Obama told the nation, our most urgent task is to restore our economy the Economic Policy Institute says continuing high unemployment is hurting workers who have jobs, too. EPI says workers who still have their jobs have suffered a broad-based collapse of wage growth over the past two years. This is happening to workers despite high productivity growth from 1995-2007. EPI says with joblessness expected to remain high for some time, wage erosion is likely to continue.
