A Duluth nursing strike has been avoided after nearly 30 straight hours of labor contract negotiations resulted in a tentative agreement. The Minnesota Nurses Assocaition had announced plans for a one-day strike September 14th unless an agreement was reached. The tentative agreement must be approved by the nearly 1,000 nurses at Duluth’s SMDC Medical Center. Nurses at St, Luke’s in Duluth are voting on an agreement that was previously reached there.
