12/19/2010

A new survey finds that fewer workers are expecting to see a raise this year. According to Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development only 58 percent of workers are expecting a pay increase, down from 67 percent the same time last year. A full third of workers are expecting a pay freeze – up from 25 percent this time last year. Half of those in the public sector expect top have wages frozen. Hopes may be fleeting, because data shows that in actuality only 44 percent of workers have actually received a raise since 2008.
