UAW Gets Allies In Organizing Drive At Foreign Auto Plants In The U.S. South

When the United Auto Workers starts it’s campaign to organize foreign transplant factories in the southern U.S. this month, it won’t be alone. The UAW is enlisting allies like Operation PUSH, the NAACP and the Farm Labor Organizing Committee. The UAW says it will take the high road in this organizing drive – urging automakers to remain neutral and allow its workers free and fair elections to decide whether they want to join the UAW.
