AURORA, Neb. — More than 130 employees of Hamilton Telecommunications will lose their jobs in the spring.
Hamilton Contact Center Services said Thursday that it will close its call center operations in Aurora and Columbus, Neb., in the coming months.
About 112 full-time positions and 23 part-time positions will be affected. Gary Warren, president of Hamilton's services department, said about half of those jobs were in Aurora.
“Hamilton has been in the call center business for more than 20 years. During that time, we have faced numerous challenges, adapted to change and adjusted our course,” Hamilton Telecommunications President John Nelson said.
“Despite our best efforts — and after careful consideration, analysis and thought — we have made the difficult decision to cease operations in these centers.”
