The frustrations of modern management
A rant in analogy from.

The people who end up in management anymore are like someone who is restricted to a diet of grapes because they can't be bothered to cut up or chew anything else. We've been used to a rich and varied diet of meats and cheeses and chewy breads. And this person runs into the kitchen and stuffs a whole pork chop into their mouth and starts choking. As soon as we've rescued them from this, and while we're trying to clean up the scene of that disaster they grab a whole chili and stuff it in their mouth and start wailing and screaming and insist that no such thing should ever be allowed to exist in the kitchen ever again. Its like suddenly having to deal with a willful and undisciplined toddler .. AND THEY ARE IN CHARGE!

Thus the art of the 'executive summary'
