March 16, 1968 - More than 350 Vietnamese villagers were murdered by U.S. troops in the My Lai Massacre in Quang Ngai Province, Vietnam. Today, the site of the massacre is a park dedicated to peace.

In May 2006, Workday Minnesota editor Barb Kucera and St. Olaf College Professor Karil Kucera visited the massacre site. See some of their photos: http://www.workdayminnesota.org/index.php?news_6_2947
