The full page : In a move to satisfy growing demand for earth friendly fresh fruit, Dayka & Hackett LLC will exclusively role out Rainforest Alliance Certified Chilean grapes. The first shipments are expected to be available January 15 and should continue through early May.
“Prompted by market demand to offer the best alternatives in sustainable agriculture we took an in depth evaluation of several programs available to our industry” said Tim Dayka, Dayka & Hackett LLC. “In the final analysis we chose to work with the Rainforest Alliance. Their team was creative and systematic in its approach and after a lot of up front leg work we were able to certify a group of five Chilean table grape growers from the north to the south of Chile providing grapes all season long.”
“Table grape packing in Chile is just beginning to reach reasonable volumes and we expect our first arrivals from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms around January 15th.” Mr. Dayka continued. Major grape volumes will be available through early May as the balance of our growers of Rainforest Alliance Certified grapes start harvesting.”
Dayka & Hackett LLC., marketing team worked closely with the Rainforest Alliance team and with Fresno, CA based Ball Design to develop new packaging to reflect the farms’ certification, including a variety of pack styles. GS-1 random weight bags as well as a number of clam shells will be available with attractive graphics describing the special Rainforest Alliance certification.
