AP: Overpayment recovery sought from employees

BURLINGTON, Iowa (AP) — Salaried county employees of Des Moines County will have to return all the extra money they were paid last fiscal year and the first part of the current one.

The county supervisors decided at their meeting Tuesday to seek repayment of about $24,000 total via paycheck deductions.

Former county workers owe about $1,060 of the total, and they’ll be billed for their share.
