Tune in now to AFGE’s “Inside Government” for more on the union’s campaign to exclusively represent Transportation Security Officers (TSOs). The show, which originally aired on Friday, June 17, is now available on demand.

AFGE National Secretary-Treasurer J. David Cox discussed the union’s efforts in the final days of the election, which ends June 21. Cox also addressed why AFGE is the best choice for TSOs, including its ability to defeat pay-for-performance models such as the Transportation Security Administration’s Performance Accountability and Standards System.

Economic Policy Institute Federal Budget Policy Analyst Andrew Fieldhouse then discussed implications of a House bill proposing a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

Lastly, Common Cause President and CEO and former Congressman Bob Edgar (D-Pa.) addressed Common Cause’s efforts to reform campaign finance laws and simplify the voting process for Americans. Edgar also previewed the 2012 presidential election.

Listen LIVE on Fridays at 10 a.m. on 1500 AM WFED in the D.C. area or online at www.federalnewsradio.com.
