The United Steel Workers, Teamsters and the AFL-CIO Building and Construction Trades Department are all weighing in against the proposed free trade agreements with Korea, Panama and Colombia. The Teamsters say these NAFTA-style trade agreements have cost nearly 2 million American jobs and these proposed agreements just continue the trend. The United Steel Workers say these three agreements will undermine our economic recovery and further decimate American manufacturing. The AFL-CIO Building and Construction Trades Department says the deals will contribute to the erosion of America’s industrial base and are disastrous for construction workers.
