Arizona Republican Aims to Undo New Notification of Employee Rights Posters…Already!

No reason to wait and see if the new policy of requiring employers to notify workers of their right to unionize could have a positive effect on workers, workplaces, or business, right? Not according to Ben Quayle (R-AZ), who has already introduced legislation to eliminate the new pro-fairness rule. From The Hill:

Rep. Ben Quayle (R-Ariz.) last week introduced legislation that would reverse an August 30 decision by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) requiring employers to notify employees of their rights under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA).

The decision would require employers to post these rights in the workplace and online by November 14. The notice would essentially outline the NLRA, and say that employees have the right to “act together to improve wages and working conditions, to form, join and assist a union, to bargain collectively with their employer, and to refrain from any of these activities,” according to the NLRB’s decision.

Quayle’s bill, H.R. 2833, would eliminate the rule, a move Quayle said would help companies avoid the latest in what he called an “onslaught of new mandates, regulations and taxes” from the Obama administration.

3. I thought the republicans wanted everyone to make as much
as they could

They say the CEO that is making $14 million/yr earned this money because they worked hard
yet at the same time a union person making $40,000/yr is making too much
This sounds like blatant discrimination to me

If Quail believes his stance is correct then the government should be able to control CEO salaries
because this would help the corporations make more money because of less CEO pay
