Lockout and raiding by another union
My Union is a maritime union (MEBA), and is being raided by a rival union (AMO) during a lockout situation. Not only Members and Retirees are requested to contact the port offices of Houston and New Orleans, to offer assistance for informational picket lines, but any other union person or union-minded person. contact those port offices for details on the situation and feel free to mention my name, Paul Norman

2. Just a stated.
A rival union is making a raid (with a sweetheart contract, their specialty for their 50+ years of existence) on my union. If you're in the area and interested in supporting true union principles, contact either port branch offices for details. And feel free to mention my name, Paul Norman.

3. It happened to me when I was pres of my local aft teacher
union. nea raided the classified Aft and screwed us royal. Never forgave them, the bastards. Good luck with this, hon. I feel your pain.

4. No physical or financial pain.
I've been retired since 2000. But I've been hyper-active on the various Union discussion groups.

There is no labor movement in any other major nation but here. where raiding other unions is an acceptable tactic. This is one of the legacies of Samuel Gompers!
