Mobile Computing in Alaska - Possible for an RVer? |
|
One of my sisters is making the trip of a lifetime; one she's been planning for years. She and her husband are going to spend three months in Alaska in an RV, and of course she doesn't want to be cut off from the 'Net during that time.
What are her options for online service up there? Anyone know? What kind of connectivity options should we be looking for in purchasing her laptop to support mobile computing in AK?
I should point out she doesn't have a fortune to spend on equipment.

or maybe just a quick search of wifi hotspots in Alaska...many rv parks offer this service now too.
