Just diagnosed with fibrosarcoma for the second time.
They had seen this spot when I had my first sarcoma surgery in 2007, but a biopsy came back negative. 18 months later that spot has become a mass that is destroying bone in my sacrum.

Vibes and prayers are welcomed.

8. Update and thanks for the support.
Diagnosis was 7cm x 4cm x 4cm fibrosarcoma in left part of sacrum plus small nodules in lungs
Just finished third round of chemo (adriamyacin/ifosfamide) and boy are my arms tired.

12. Six rounds of chemo have been awful, but apparently worth it
The primary tumor (in my sacrum) is looking like it may be dying. Woo hoo!

14. Chemo is soon to end, no, after ten rounds?
I know of folks who've had chemo brain. Particularly common with breast cancer patients, so sorry it's happened to you. Wish I had some advice. Hang in there.

15. Chemo brain does suck!
I finished chemo nearly four years ago, and I feel like I'm back to normal...at least I think I am! Hang in there, and stay positive.

16. Thanks. It would be nice if chemo were to end soon
But most likely, after two more rounds of my current protocol I will start on a third chemo protocol.

But, maybe third time will indeed be the charm.

20. Hang in there, Redbear!
I'm just beginning my journey through colon cancer. I've been through chemo once with lymphoma about 10 years ago. Surely not looking forward to it again, but - I guess you do what you gotta do.

In it together, eh!

18. Good wishes and prayers for you Redbear......
.....we all hope you get thru this ordeal and make a full recovery!

I got some disturbing news today. I have been experiencing some discomfort, not really pain, in my kidneys for a couple of weeks. I went to my GP for an exam and there is blood in my urine. I haven't really had any symptoms of infection so she has ordered a CT scan tuesday. She (my GP) said she did not want to scare me but her dad died of kidney cancer that went undetected for a year due to a shitty urologist. Of course, I'm hoping it is something else, and it may very well be nothing of concern, but......well, you know.

I accepted my mortality a long time ago, as I'm sure you have. You get what you get, and deal with it as it comes. Unlike many, I have had a really nice life. I retired ten years ago at age 45, due to inheritance and investments. I've been living the life of Riley, so to speak! My oldest daughter gets married May 15th, and I am looking forward to walking her down the aisle. My youngest is 17, and will graduate high school next year. God willing, I will see that, too.

I didn't mean to make this about me, I'm sorry. I don't know if you are a religious person or not, but I built a small chapel on my property when my wife got breast cancer a few years ago. I will say a prayer for you and put in a prayer request for others who visit.

Give em a good fight!
