Are things always that slow? I got a breast cancer diagnosis in October,
a second surgery in November for the nodes (good news is that they are negative), saw the surgeon today and he confirmed what he already told me (very small tumor, no nodes involved, estrogen positive), so he thinks I should not need chemo, then he tells me he sends me to the radiologist and the oncologist to decide the treatment and tells me he does not have the result of the HER-2 (?) for some reason.

I cant have an appointment with the oncologist for 2 more weeks, so I hope that there will be no bad surprise. But we have been on this for 3 months now since the MRI that found the tumor, and I wonder if things always move so slowly. (I know that I am probably lucky it was taken so early, but waiting is so hard).

1. Yes, in my world things were slow.
Went to the doc when a lump appeared overnight in my armpit. Couldn't get in for a mammogram for 3 weeks. Biopsy was scheduled 4 days after mammogram results. Got in to see the breast surgeon 2 days after biopsy results. Surgery was scheduled at 2 weeks later. Then, I waited 1 1/2 months to see the oncologist. All in all, it was nearly 4 months of waiting.
