....when she is worried.....and she's worried. Eight years ago, on Christmas morning, she discovered a lump in her breast that turned out to be breast cancer. After a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery, the cancer was gone. A year later, she contracted scarlet fever (result of strep infection), which had attached itself to her implants. Again, they were removed and another reconstruction was done. She has been cancer free for eight years...a blessing. In early October, she came down with the shingles. Not that unusual for a 60 yr old, but unlike my experience with them, which lasted two weeks, she still has them. So, she's been feeling pretty rotten lately. Then she started having some more problems with her GI tract accompanied by shooting pains in her back. A sonogram was done on her gall bladder. The gall bladder was fine, but the sonogram revealed lesions on her liver. So we are now awaiting results of a CT scan yesterday and a scheduled bone scan Monday. It doesn't look good. So, I caught her rocking back and forth again. I know she's scared...I am, too.
It is what it is. If rocking is what you do, do it.
